Bristol to NEB for maintenance July 12 - August 16

July 12 We took the  boat to New England Boat works to be hauled out for maintenance.  

James Pattison will oversee most of the work, bottom painting and check engine, drive shaft and prop.






















We will also install a new genset, ordered on line from Sound Marine Diesel “Joe Demers” who was in no hurry, to process the order or ship the Genset, very frustrating. 

We ordered a full canvas enclosure from Kinder Industries. 
We installed a new force 10 stove found at a consignment shop in Bristol RI. 









We also found davits at marine consignment in Wickford RI, that were a bit banged up so we dropped them off with George to straighten out. 

We spent about a month getting most of this done.

August 16, 2013 With most of the work done Élan was launched.  Abby joined us in evening, but she was not feeling well.   

Our Plan was to sail across the harbor to Wickford RI, walk around town and spend the night at anchor.
